Constable Care Foundation is continuing its mission to bring ethics  and critical thinking education to Western Australian children and young people.  

The Foundation is currently integrating ethical and critical enquiry into the delivery of all its existing curriculum-aligned harm prevention programs for children and young people, and supporting WA school teachers with new resources to extend this important work.    

This project comes after CCF’s successful one-year pilot, which in 2022 saw volunteers deliver ethics workshops to Year 5 students at 12 public primary schools in Perth.  

A report of the pilot confirmed a number of positive changes in participants as a direct result of the program, including improved social, communication and empathy skills. Participants were found to gain a deeper understanding of complex issues and had the vocabulary and skills to discuss them respectfully.  

We look forward to continuing to facilitate the development of these valuable life skills to improve the decision-making abilities and long-term outcomes for children and young people living in WA.
