Audition Cast List
Sam | Lead
Teen boy, aged 12-14
Audition Sides 1 & 2
Sam feels isolated and hopeless, and doesn’t know why. It’s hard to talk about. He feels like he’s drowning and it’s like nobody notices or cares.
Alex | Supporting
Open gender, aged 12-14
Audition Sides 1
Sam’s friend Alex is frustrated with Sam’s disinterest and apathy, especially after Sam skipped class and missed a group presentation they worked on together.
Ben | Supporting
Open gender, aged 12-14
Audition Sides 1
Sam’s friend Ben is worried about Sam’s change in behaviour and feels like Sam is avoiding them. Ben tries to be the peacekeeper between Alex and Sam.
Teen 1 | Supporting
Open gender, aged 12-14
Audition Sides 2
In Sam’s friend group, but not close. Seems to be the only one to ‘get’ Sam, and asks how he is without judgement.
Teen 2 | Supporting
Open gender, aged 12-14
Audition Sides 2
Likes to joke around and doesn’t care what others think about them. A bit of a class clown but means well.
