Act Up (ages 8-11) explores all aspects of the notion of performing through theatre-based activities. Your child’s creative spark is sure to ignite as they write, produce, and direct, a piece of theatre, premiered on the last afternoon for family and fellow Imagineers. Whether it is acting, dancing, making music or props, your child will find their place in the show, exploring the magic of storytelling, making and sharing. In addition to these great activities, Imagineers will be challenged by important questions such as,
“What is music?”
“Can anybody be an actor?”
“What is the difference between acting and real life?”
“Between music and noise?”
“Between dance and jumping around?”
Culminating in a performance for parents and fellow Imagineers at 3pm on Thursday 9th July, this program is a definite must-do for anyone who loves to play, create, and explore the world.
