First Aid Heroes – First Aid in Schools

Importance of first aid in schools

Teaching first aid in schools helps students to prepare to handle emergencies with confidence.

By learning basic first aid skills, children can recognise and respond to medical situations, potentially saving lives. Imagine a classroom where kids feel empowered to act calmly and knowledgeable when accidents or illnesses occur.

These skills build confidence and create a safer environment for everyone.

Integrating first aid into the school curriculum ensures that our children grow up with the essential tools to help other in time of need.

Expertly led first aid program

When it comes to first aid education, it’s crucial to have a program that’s led by experts and engaging for young minds. At Constable Care, we are proud to partner with St John Ambulance, a name synonymous with excellence in emergency response and first aid training across Australia.

Our First Aid Heroes program brings together the trusted expertise of St John Ambulance with interactive and fun learning experiences designed specifically for schools. With decades of experience in first aid education, St John Ambulance ensures that each session is informative and instills confidence and practical skills in students, equipping them to respond effectively in real-life emergencies.

This program is led by experienced professionals who understand the importance of making first aid accessible and relatable for children. Through engaging activities and scenarios, students learn vital skills such as how to assess a situation using DRSABC (Danger, Response, Send for help, Airway, Breaking, and CPR) and the proper steps to call an ambulance.

Why choose our Lower Primary Incursions?

At this foundational stage, safety education needs to be more than just a set of rules – it needs to be a memorable adventure. Our puppet-based performances are specifically crafted to align with the Early Years Learning Framework, using storytelling and song to translate complex concepts like ’emergency response’ or ‘private zones’ into a language children understand. By engaging their imagination, we ensure that vital safety messages stick, creating a positive first relationship with safety figures like the police.

We understand that for young learners, ‘doing’ is as important as ‘seeing.’ Our performers are experts in managing early childhood audiences, ensuring every session is interactive, inclusive, and emotionally supportive. When you book a Lower Primary show, you aren’t just hosting a performance; you’re giving your students the confidence to trust their instincts and the vocabulary to ask for help when they need it most.
