Constable Care Foundation has been officially recognised as a Trusted eSafety Provider by the eSafety Commissioner, Australia’s independent regulator for online safety.
Using research, evidence, and experience, the eSafety Commissioner helps to safeguard all Australians from online harms, and promotes safer and more positive online experiences. The Trusted eSafety Provider Program is a key part of eSafety’s national leadership role in online safety education. Through the program, eSafety endorses and works with providers of quality online safety education, delivered to schools and other audiences around Australia.
Upper primary interactive theatre programs Screen Name and Trending have been endorsed, as well as secondary school virtual reality (VR) program, Overshare!
Aimed at Years 3-6, Screen Name uses the story of an online gaming “friendship” to teach young people about the dangers of online grooming and the sharing of personal information, while Trending focuses on cyberbullying and the use of social media. Overshare uses an immersive VR experience to engage students in education around online consent, ethics, and virality, allowing them to make their own decisions as an active participant in the story.
