What is Youth Week WA 2025?
The wait is over! Youth Week WA 2025 begins today, offering young people across Western Australia a chance to connect, express themselves and be recognised for the important role they play in our communities. Running 10-17 April, this statewide celebration brings together local councils, community organisations, schools and youth groups to deliver a packed calendar of events, workshops and activities.
Each year, Youth Week WA highlights the strength, creativity and resilience of young people aged from 10 to 25. From regional towns to metropolitan centres, the week is a chance to hear youth voices, share ideas and promote positive change through participation and collaboration.
The theme for 2025, “Our Threads, This Place, Your Moment,” speaks to the unique experiences and identities that shape young people’s lives. It encourages youth to reflect on their connection to community, culture and place, while also taking pride in their own journey. It’s a powerful reminder that everyone’s story matters and that now is the time to take part, speak up and leave your mark.
At Constable Care Foundation, we’re proud to stand alongside young people as they embrace their moment. Through engaging youth programs in Perth and across WA, we’re committed to supporting and empowering the next generation during Youth Week and all year round.
Exciting Events and Activities Across WA
For young people in Perth during Youth Week WA 2025, our Youth Choices programs offer a dynamic and engaging experience. Utilising the innovative approach, we explore crucial topics including Mental Health, Healthy Relationships, and Everyday Consent. This interactive method allows students to become part of the performance, fostering a safe space for learning and developing solutions.
Opportunities for WA Youth Beyond Youth Week
While Youth Week WA is a fantastic celebration of young people, the support and opportunities don’t stop once the week ends. Across Western Australia, there are a wide range of programs for youth that run all year, offering resources, education and safe spaces to learn, grow and stay connected.
At Constable Care Foundation, we’re proud to offer year-round support through our Youth Choices programs. These engaging, theatre-based youth programs in Perth are delivered in schools and community settings and are designed to help young people navigate real-life challenges like peer pressure, alcohol and drug use, mental health and personal safety.
Why Youth Engagement Matters
When young people are supported, encouraged and given a platform to lead, the impact can be felt across entire communities. Youth-led initiatives foster leadership, creativity and connection, giving young people the confidence to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of others.
Well-designed programs for youth help build essential life skills, improve wellbeing and reduce risk-taking behaviour. These positive outcomes contribute to safer, more inclusive communities where young people feel empowered and supported.
Our Youth Choices programs significantly contribute to this engagement by offering young people opportunities to address safety and well-being. These initiatives not only support youth development but also promote a culture of care and responsibility within the broader community.
How to Get Involved
Ultimately, participating in Youth Week WA 2025 is a fantastic way for young people to connect, learn and celebrate their contributions. From attending events and volunteering to leading their own projects, there are so many ways to take part.Â
At Constable Care Foundation, we encourage schools and organisations to explore our Youth Choices programs, which can be integrated into Youth Week celebrations or delivered throughout the school year.
