Wilson Gilburt

Wilson joined Constable Care Foundation’s main ensemble in 2023, after graduating from WAAPA with a Diploma of Screen Performance. He is a Zimbabwean and Nigerian actor who was born in the UK, moving to Australia in his teens, and has been passionate about performance since age 5 – taking the role of the Star in his primary school Christmas pantomime. Wilson explains acting and performance as his preferred platform through which he can express himself and raise awareness of issues and causes that he cares about and believes in.

Wilson’s acting credits include feature films It Only Takes A Night (2021, dir. Callan Durlik), Finally Me (2022, dir. Jason Stevens), and award winning short film Sheeple (2022, dir. Laura Bailey). He also has a creative streak and enjoys writing music as well as building and collaborating on film and production ideas.

Wilson enjoys working for the Foundation as he aligns with the organisation’s values and is passionate about being able to deliver positive messaging and education to young people.
